We are looking for an enthusiastic Front of House Superstar for our Café that has a passion for coffee and can provide excellent customer service.

The successful applicant will demonstrate exemplary work ethic and should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops and needs to be available to work on a flexible roster between 9am to 4pm Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sundays. 

Front of House Cafe Superstar responsibilities include:-

• Barista in charge of making delicious coffees and cocktails;
• Processing payments and taking orders using the café’s Point of Sale System;
• Drinks preparation and proper use and maintenance of coffee equipment;
• Tour bus and table bookings coordination and set up as required.
• Reports to Café Manager
• Cleaning and maintenance reporting
• Resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service;
• Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers

Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and ensure our café remains a local favourite. This position, with the right applicant, also has the opportunity to gain further responsibilities and benefits as part of the Jaques Coffee Team. 

Additional requirements

• Work experience as a Front of House or Barista.
• Your own transport.
• Pride in presentation and personal hygiene.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (RSA).
• Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines.
• Good math skills.
• Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and school holidays - closed public holidays).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer service attitude.
